I like the lower one. A fancier look (and more expensive) perhaps to use on the "hutch" portion of my kitchen

ry for these two purposes. We're going to have so much food storage in the kitchen itself that I doubt we'll miss the space that the microwave and recycling will take up. I'm so happy that we'll have no ugly microwave taking up space on our pretty counters!
I really love the look of this dark flooring laid diagonally!!
Trafficmaster Allure Tile, Corfu Resin from Home Depot only $2.94 / sq. ft. (less than half the cost of Marmoleum!!!) Is it sad how quickly my green inclinations go out the window when I find a good deal? *sigh* I am on a budget here people. Rough cost for flooring for kitchen: $400 - pretty awesome indeed. Got pretty good reviews, evidently it's lighter in person which might be nice. I am a little frightened of having dark floors but I suspect that with light cabinets, light counters and light and bright paint it'll look nice. Here's a picture of it in someone's kitchen (from DIYchatroom.com). I'm not liking this at all! Maybe it's the kitchen itself but I'm seeing 80's. Hmmmm....

ext for me!

However this Trafficmaster Blue Slate is kinda looking awesome to me. All these will just have to be seen in person to have any sort of opinion on. I'm a little wary of having a "statement" kitchen. You know, when people say "Whoa" when they come into the room but not necessarily because they like the look. I like the look of planks more than I do fake tiles. I guess tiles can be an 80's look to me.
